I Accepted The Lord Jesus In My Life And He Came Through For Me

In 2010 I was diagnosed with kidney problems. I became ill and visited a doctor who prescribed medication that made me feel worst. So, I went to my family doctor and he requested blood work be done. When the results came back it was not good. He suggested additional testing which later confirmed I had one kidney. I was recommended to a specialist who said I should be hospitalized immediately.

When I was admitted, the doctors came up with a solution to place a stent in my kidney which had to be done quickly. The entire situation was frightening, because I learnt my kidney was damaged for a number of years. I went ahead with the procedure and it was unsuccessful. Once again, I was hospitalized for two weeks and encountered extensive testing to determine my prognosis.

At some point, I lost all hope and didn’t know what to do. The last surgery which I endured was very painful and honestly, I thought I was going to die. My neighbor recommended a doctor who diagnosed my symptoms and suggested another surgery. It was done and the recovery process went well. However, last year 2018 I became ill again and it was worst in comparison to 2010.

My encounter with Christianity occurred at a hospital in Port of Spain. I accepted the Lord Jesus in my life, and He came through for me. I received a call from my wife that the church was praying for me. A couple days later, I was discharged, and the doctors were amazed at my progress. Thanks be to God that what the doctors saw was no longer there.

My cousin invited me to The Temple of Restoration, and I attended the service on a Friday. I felt wonderful and so at home at TTOR. It’s been one year since my family and I have been attending and we’re very happy. Our lives have been transformed for the glory of God. Thank you Bishop, Pastors and Assistants for all your prayers, teachings and support.

I Made A Complete recovery For The Glory Of God

My name is Theresa Lewis and I am a member of The Temple of Restoration in Mount Vernon. I came to reside in America in 2014 and I started attending the church in 2015. I was diagnosed with Lupus twenty one years ago and have never been hospitalized for this disease up to this day. Glory to God! My mother died from this disease in 2004 and every time someone dies from it, my family and friends call and I would tell them repeatedly, God has me here for a reason Hallelujah! Because of the medication taken, one of the side effects is the loss of cartilage to the bone. When the cartilage is worn out it causes bones to rub together and this caused great pain in my hips and hand. Because of the excruciating pain I’ve done five major surgeries, four hip replacements and also hand surgery. The prosthesis that is used for hip replacement has a life span of fifteen years. Since my surgery was done in 2001 I had to repeat it last year. Three weeks before the surgery, I found out that my health insurance at work could not cover the expenses. I went to numerous places to obtain health insurance but it was futile, because the amount they requested was unaffordable for me.

Two weeks before the surgery, I came to church and wrote a prayer request asking God for favor with the insurance company. Friends, those little prayer request papers are powerful! I left mine at the altar, went to work Monday and returned Friday. When I got home I heard a voice saying, “Go to the hospital now!” I looked around because the voice was so clear. I picked up my bag and left immediately. When the insurance representative saw me she ushered me to her office, took my documents and said she was going to her supervisor. I sat there for approximately ten to twenty minutes. When she returned I was given a form to sign and was told everything was fine. I remember asking her what that meant and she responded, “You can have the surgery done because everything is covered”. I stood speechless staring at her for a couple minutes and thanked her. I did the surgery last year December 2018 and not only did God waivered a $32,000 surgical fee but He also healed my body quickly. I made a complete recovery for the glory of God. I was able to return to work within six weeks. I thank the pastors and assistants for all their support and prayers. When you put your trust in God He will never disappoint you.

God was Able To Work Wonders in My Life

My husband and I got married in 2016 and decided that we wanted to start a family of our own, so we began trying to conceive. To my surprise, it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. After several unsuccessful months of negative tests after negative tests, I began to seek medical advice. For approximately two years, I went to numerous doctor appointments where I was tested for everything under the sun. All my test results came back good, and the doctors could not find any reason why I was unable to conceive. However, they did inform me that I had small fibroids and could have surgery to remove them, but there weren’t any guarantees it would solve my infertility issues. Determined to do anything to increase our chances, I went ahead and had the surgery in October 2017. A couple of months passed, and we still had no baby of our own. We were doing everything right. I had the ovulation app and the ovulation tests and knew my most fertile days. I felt things just weren’t fair and decided to seek another doctor’s advice. By this time, I had switched doctors 3 times. Every new doctor I went to required a series of the “mental and physically draining” testing, even if I had previously done the test. This new doctor told me that he found fibroids in my uterus. It was like I was in a twilight zone because I just had fibroid surgery three months ago. Well, he convinced me that they can come back, and I found myself having another surgery to remove the ones he found. After going through numerous testing and two fibroid surgeries, I still was not pregnant.

By this time, I found myself becoming depressed, constantly crying, shutting myself away and not wanting to answer the phone and speak to anyone during my monthly cycles. I was lost for words and could not understand why it was so difficult for me to have a child. I was also worried because I was in my mid 30’s and my biological clock was ticking. One day a co-worker told me about a procedure called intrauterine insemination (IUI) and again I found myself at doctor #4, who specialized in this procedure. After going through another round of testing, I had my first IUI procedure. I had built my hopes up once again and was extremely devasted when it didn’t work. I remember calling my best friend in an emotional state; she told me not to give up and encouraged me with the testimony of A Pastor and his wife. She also invited me to attend services at the Temple of Restoration, Queens location. After attending several Sunday services, she urged me to speak with a Pastor; I immediately told her, “NO!”. I was too embarrassed to speak to anyone else about our issues, much less the pastor. My friend didn’t back down though and one Sunday she practically dragged me to his office. After hearing the issue, the Pastor called in his wife, who sat down and prayed with me. After praying, she told me to meet with her every Sunday after church and she prayed for me. Week after week, I found myself being inspired and encouraged. I knew that my trust was no longer in the doctors, and I knew God had to be the one who would turn things around for me. Without God in the center of it, none of the procedures would work. I started to utilize my faith and to use the anointing oil that I received at The Night of Decision. I found myself praying more and even anointing my stomach. With prayers coming from every angle now, I decided to do another round of IUI, knowing that God was now in the midst of it all, and on February 2019, I received the news that I was pregnant. I couldn’t believe it. I knew it was by the Grace of God that I was able to finally conceive.

On September 19, 2019, my husband and I became parents to a beautiful baby boy. This wasn’t an easy journey because shortly after giving birth, the devil tried to attack me again. I began hemorrhaging for over an hour and lost so much blood that I had to have a blood transfusion. I was bedridden because of all the treatments I needed to receive. Nevertheless, by the Grace of God, I’m here today. With my friend encouraging me to attend the Temple of Restoration and the Pastor and his wife praying for me, God was able to work wonders in my life. Just as I was encouraged by other people’s testimonies, I want to encourage someone else who may be going through the same situation and believing God for a miracle. Don’t give up. Continue praying and utilizing your faith because He is able.

God Answered My Sacrifice

10 years of marriage and seeing multiple doctors who couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Some said my husband was the problem, while others said it was me. Everyone gave up on us including my husband, family, and friends, except me. My husband had accepted spending the rest of his life with me without children. Despite doing many procedures, the doctors said they were not sure if I could have children. In June 2018, I sacrificed by praying, fasting, and sowing the same amount of seed the doctors charged for my treatments. During the 7:30am service on Sacrifice Sunday, I couldn’t stop crying, and I didn’t understand why. Several months later I found out that I was pregnant with twin girls. God is good. Thank you Ms.Liz for always encouraging me and praying for me. I pray that He continues to strengthen you so that you can continue doing what you do for others.
